One CEOs Story On the Benefits of Daily Blogging
Zemanta CEO Bostjan Spetic recently shared his story about the benefits of blogging daily. The short story is that he was blown away by the increased influential status he held in such a short time.
After writing a post per day for one month, Spetic noticed the positive results and feedback. “I’ve learned that my blogging more regularly has brought more visitors to my blog and has raised my profile in my industry; in other words, I am becoming more influential,” he writes. His Klout score rose from 20 to 50 and the number of visitors on his site increased 10-fold in that month. Beyond that, readers were spending more time reading posts on his blog.
Although this is a personal story, the learning can be applied to businesses as well. According to a study by Social Media Examiner, companies that post a blog every day “generate five times more traffic than those that post weekly or less.”
Not just any post will do — relevancy and engagement are key. To keep posts relevant, marketers must first pinpoint the objective of their companies’ blog. In this extremely social time, it’s acceptable for brand’s and individual’s to reblog their colleagues work, adding insight — so that’s one route to go if original content on a daily basis is a difficult ask. Of course, it’s also important to think of ways to best engage with readers.
Building a strong blog readership takes time and posting daily requires discipline. But you can do it!
