Facebook Adds Trending Videos to Newsfeed

Facebook is preparing to create a spot on users’ news feeds that will show them trending videos among just their friends.

The new feature, similar to the trending articles section that began on the site over the past few months, is slowly being introduced.

When a news feed receives the trending videos feature, “it will auto-populate with videos your friends are watching on Facebook’s Open Graph apps,” according to Mashable.

The video apps, such as Viddy and Socialcam, will be identified along with the videos.

Facebook is becoming more visual, with its recent acquisition of Instagram and collaboration with video service Oovo.
