How Will Brands Crack Google+’s ‘What’s Hot’ Page?
Official brand pages on Google+ have a new marketing goal — figuring out Google’s ‘What’s Hot’ page.
“The hope, of course, is to make sure that only the topics which are most interesting to you end up in your stream, thereby nudging you into staying on the site just a bit longer,” explained TNW writer Brad McCarty. People were apparently too inundated with content to see what was was trending globally. What’s Hot, McCarty explains, will hopefully “scratch this itch.”
From a business perspective, this means keeping your coverage accurate and timely, so that it has potential to featured as a piece of “hot” content. Good luck, content strategists!
