WordPress Launches Adsense Competitor, WordAds
WordPress just launched WordAds, an opt-in ad program/alternative monetization option available exclusively to WordPress.com bloggers.
“Our primary goal is to create something that rewards bloggers for their hard work and the quality of their work, and do so at a higher level than generic Adsense would, not optimize around a particular revenue share,” They explained.
To qualify for the WordAds program, blogs must be publicly visible and have a custom domain. And according to Search Engine Watch, WordPress will choose participants based on the type of content, and traffic/engagement levels.
More on this as we start seeing it in action!
