Contently is ramping up its European expansion with the hire of Rebecca Allen as general manager for the UK and Europe.

Contently, a tech company that allows brands scale their content marketing efforts, currently has offices in San Francisco and New York but has built up a network of more than 8,000 freelance content creators based in Europe as well as several clients, including Eni, Aberdeen, JLL, and Expedia.

With the opening of its first trans-Atlantic office, Contently is hoping to build on this success with chief revenue officer Brett Lofgren explaining: “Contently has seen amazing growth in the UK, particularly in the financial services sector. British and European companies are some of the world’s most sophisticated content marketers, so it makes sense that our company has had so much success here. Having boots on the ground will allow us to expand the level of services we can offer to those marketers.”

Allen has previously served in leadership roles at Outbrain and BrightTALK, in both London and New York.

She added: “The content marketing industry, and the technology that supports it, has matured by leaps and bounds over the past few years. Contently is poised to further its position as the global industry leader, and I couldn’t be happier to be joining the team.”
