The five steps in mastering storytelling include listening, being personal, inspiring action, continuing to listen, and thinking ahead.
Forbes’ Phil Johnson points out that if advertisements are thinly disguised as good stories, consumers won’t bite. They have to unveil something personal or unknown about a person or brand, tap into emotions, and take them on a transformational journey.
